So just an update on my exhaust... the HookerBlackheart Catted front pipe had some issues. I don't know why but the cat messed up and it was breaking apart in the pipe. It has since been swapped out for the non catted version. The car is loud, like full throttle running through the gears its blaring. Still trying to find a way to film it and get an accurate sound clip if I can I'll post it.

The muffler on the Corsa system was designed with the exact length chambers to use destructive interference to reduce droney frequencies. By changing anything upstream in the exhaust, you're throwing off the properties of the exhaust and you'll get some frequencies being way louder than before.

Just ordered the Black Tip version (14864BLK) -- Cheapest its ever been on Amazon. Was gonna stay stock and promised myself not to spend more on the car, but I couldn't resist the price. YOLO!

That's a great price for the black tip version. I think you'll find the Corsa is the perfect system for the stock car.

Corsa installed!

Totally different sound from the UEL + V1 I had on my FR-S -- I've matured a bit since then.

Do any of you guys notice popping/afterfire/backfire with this setup? I've had it installed for maybe 50~ miles so far, and when downshifting earlier I got some pops out of it, but couldn't replicate the sound when parked revving.

Wondering if it's a characteristic of the catback, or if I just found a "sweet spot" so to speak. Or maybe because it's cold in California, who knows.

Also, what did everybody torque the bolts to that connect the midpipe to the overpipe? Corsa didn't give torque specs, so I just went as tight as I could.

Mine randomly makes those pops when shifting and the car is cold. Always makes me smile.

I think I used the OEM specs for those bolts. Maybe around ~12ft lbs. Hasn't budged.

yup, all the time...from what i can figure, its a result of the slow shifting between gears. Conditions vary, but it really doesn't matter. Its awesome.

How long before that happened? I have the hooker catted fp with the J-pipe resonator

I managed to replicate it pretty well by revving it to ~4-5k then going right into neutral (when approaching a red light) - kind of douchey, but it sounds great haha. Wish it was more common!
