Nice BRZ! The standard rotors look tiny after you get used to seeing the Brembos with the PP

Welded one of these into my mid-pipe. The drone on my GReddy Revolution was just too much for daily driving and this helped a lot. It didn't reduce it as much as I was hoping for but I am more than happy with the results!

Alright guys! Yesterday was Sevenstock at Autoclub speedway. Speedventures was hosting an autocross event, and I thought what better way to shake down the RCE Superstreet-1 coilovers than an autocross?

Long story short, loved the way the coilovers handled and how they changed the feel of my BRZ for the better. While my track skills arent the best, I'm continuing to learn the FT86 platform and hone my driving skills. ADjusting the rebound in between runs allowed me to really learn how the car behaves with different settings.

I ran my best times with 5 clicks from full stiff in the front, and 1 click from full soft in the rear.

Now these settings along with adjusting my tire pressure worked best for me. It might not be everyone's style, but I loved how responsive the car felt with the coilovers.

As for the autocross track battle between my BRZ and my EK? Well, check out the video below to find out how that went. One big take away from the track day was that I NEED better tires.

removed 86.8lbs of mass- rear seat, trim, fuel rail cover, tire, tools, etc.
loud af now (ace header), but sound is much more balanced now with all that junk out of the back- highs are less attenuated. what an auditory pleasure.

approx. 3% weight reduction, all sprung, but $0

did a wash/detail last night and tried removing the plasti-dip from my wheels by hand, with wd40, and with a pressure washer. Didn't really come off to my satisfaction. Some of the big chunks came off easy but the sections that were probably sprayed too lightly (i have enkei raijin mesh style wheels) seem to be pretty stuck. ran out of wd40 thinking about just trying a paint thinner followed by more power washing? Anybody have experience?

My tS side skirts are falling off in just 3 months and I can see white glue stuck to the body, awful, crap, $35,000 car?. I have metal grinding noise when I shift from 1 to 2nd. I test drove another BRZ and I hear the same noise, could be a design issue, two service techs told me it's normal.

Bad luck coupled with the fact that Houston is pretty damn humid and hot during the summer? I'd say just put some more tape and call it a day.

As for the shifting... I cannot say. I feel like my 17 is an upgrade over my 13 in terms of shifting feel.

Definitely hot and humid lol but that shouldn't make a $30,000+ car fall apart, or any car for that matter. Bad luck maybe

Weird.

Can you tell if there is double sided tape all the way along the top of the skirt like there is supposed to be, or is this one little spot the only thing holding it on? Almost looks like there isn't enough tape, or maybe it wasn't positioned correctly on the part and never fully contacted the car to begin with.

See page 6.

IIRC all TS and other STI aero products are installed at the dealerships so it's entirely possible they screwed up when putting it on.

In any case take this to your dealership and get it fixed. It's a new car, you have a full warranty, use it!
