The spring drives the pedal upward to give it a more solid feel. That's all.

I've done the slave cylinder swap for so many locals that I've lost count. IMO, it's a minor difference but the system feels best with the spring installed. The only real change in performance comes from lowering the mechanical advantage of the pedal.

They also gave me discount since they had to stitch up this customer return. Unstitched ones are very expensive. But they save even more weight without the stitches.

It helps a little. Best option is the Diode Dynamics "tail for turn" kit. Makes your brake lights flash for turn signal (like a Chevy) and turns your turn signals into super bright reverse lights

The Valenti's are amazing. The tails are crazy bright too.

I had a hard time back up at night before installing these. I don't have a camera either. I'm not sure that would help with how dim the stock reverse light is.
I'm wondering now if it's possible to switch out the stock bulbs for LED?

Sure, you can replace any bulb with LEDs. Just gotta get the right "socket" or whatever

Cool. It may be worth a shot before spending $200 on a light.

If you don't want the Vbar and brake light function that the Valenti unit provides and don't want to shell out for the Tail for Turn kit, then yeah it's pretty much your only option. Shouldn't cost more than 25-30$ for a pair of good bulbs. Don't go cheap or you'll be wasting your money. Diode Dynamics would probably be my first stop

They have 3 stages of brightness ranging from like 30-200$. If even the 30$ ones are decent upgrade from the stockers its probably worth a try.
