Finish story, remaining tire checked, had broken the seal on the backside of the wheel when flat. Tire repaired, drove home, let car sit for 48 hours.

Drove to work today, did not go flat, did not crash.

Drove car back to shop Monday night, they checked, the TPMS/Valves weren't tight, they tightened, got a voucher for a free oil change for my troubles, drove home, did not crash.

Got in car today, drove two blocks, TPMS light on, drove home switched cars, did not crash, although I may crash into somebody if they don't fix it on this trip...

(A little frustrating because I've used this shop for years and never had a single return trip, so trying to give them some slack)

The Princess (Mrs. Ho) didn't want to drive the twin today; "it's out of gas". So I got to drive it and fill it up. Stopped at 7-11 for some coffee. No spills or crashes.

Switched to new winter tires, Dunlop Winter Sport 4D (205/55-R16) and went out for a test drive. Driving was not as bad as I was afraid of. But I didn't push/boost anything. When driven like a Prius they are not much worse than the 245/40-R17 ultra performance Generals. Ready for the snow!

No. All they had were these disgusting looking breakfast taquito looking things that looked like they have been spinning there for a few days. I'm not crazy.

According to wiki:

"The modern definition of a taquito as a rolled-tortilla dish was given in 1929 in a book of stories of Mexican people in the United States aimed at a youth audience, where the dish was noted as a particularly popular offering of railroad station vendors.

Interesting, no? -

Drove my FR-S up to Jack-in-the-box to pick up lunch. I should have gone to the store for lunchmeat, but I didn't feel like facing the Walmart crowd this morning -

Upon my return, as I was carefully crossing the hump in my sidewalk/driveway, when my FR-S stalled.

HOLY SHIT! - it stalled - A VALVE SPRING MUST HAVE SNAPPED -

I carefully started it back up - expecting to hear the sounds of a piston beating the hell out of a dropped valve -

However, it ran OK.

I MUST STOP READING THIS FORUM and just enjoy driving my car -

You should probably just get a new engine, just to be safe. And don't let the dealer install it.

Are those damn things really worth all the trouble? I check my tires pretty regularly and would probably feel any time one got so low it would trigger the sensor.

I think gassing spiders isn't as easy as regular bugs because arachnids can survive without breathing for a week or two. Or so I've heard. I once had a helmet on a shelf in my garage for a time and when I put it on, a small spider ran down my cheek. I really don't dig spiders.
