2013 fr-s will be different from other years?

Was just thinking if scion will or has done in the past with other models make the the 2013 FR-s different from future years. Like maybe have the 86 badge side markers will only be made on the 2013 models?

To avoid being a bunch of ****heads - they should do something to make us early adopters not regret buying this car in it's first model year. It's because of us they are having success. If we all sat around and waited - the car would be a failure.

They've all changed slightly after a couple model years. Not really any huge differences just mild changes in design but who knows how they're gonna handle this one.

Eeh, I would say if they came up with some kind of performance package, say a TRD package, I would just go buy that one.
I have a feeling this thing isn't going to loose much in the way of resale value so I you wouldn't loose much selling it or trading it in.

Im really betting they'll add the GT-86 headlights later on, I know they will. Because people want them. Wait on importing my friends, you'll thank me later.

You have the 2013 model.

For the 2014:

Re-designed intake manifold to remove the dip.

Another Option package for those things customers want, ex HID etc...

they dont really owe you anything. you bought a car because you wanted it. they will need to make changes because sooner or later, everyone who wants an frs will have one and then there wont be a market for it

This is like being pissed that apple used some of the money from millions of people buying and iPad to develop the iPad2.

The 2003 Evo VIII (first Evo in the US) did not have the ACD or the front helical LSD of the Japanese versions. The success of the Evo led Mitsu to offer these as options and then as standard based on trim.

I had an 03 Evo. I wanted these things but I didn't get pissed then Mitsu decided to offer/include them in subsequent years.

Heck, no Evo in the US had AYC until the Evo X as part of it's S-AWC system but it had been used in versions of Evo in Japan for years.

Sure they do. It's our buying their cars that allows them to stay in business. It's us taking the risk and giving their brand new product a shot that will pave the path to successful sales.

It's not an iPad. It's not a TV. It's a HUGE investment for the average person. I don't expect Toyota to go nuts and send us all hookers and gold but they should do SOMETHING symbolic to make us feel good about buying a very iconic, niche, vehicle like this in year 1.

As I said before, I had a 2003 Evo. First year in the US. (iconic, niche vehicle)

You know what I got from Mitsubishi for buying 2003 Lightning Yellow Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII and supporting them?

A 2003 Lightning Yellow Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII... that's what.

Just as buying the first iPhone doesn't entitle you to the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th generations buying the first year of a vehicle does not entitle you to receive the new headlights they use for year 2.

Believe me, I wish it did. But that's not how the world works. Nor should it.
