What did you do with the synchronizers for second and third gears - grind them all up -

Just sell the damn thing and stop with the drama. You are quickly falling into the S word catagory. With the melodramatics.
There are tens of thousands of trouble free BRZs on the road and several million other models of Subarus. Just because you had issues (I am still not convinced there is any problem with your car) does not mean they all do.

At this point I am not surprised the dealer wants nothing to do with you.

I bought a used MY13, and my only complaint was the fifth gear grind that is worse in certain conditions like when the transmission is cold, but mostly when downshifting into fifth from sixth. If the rpms are high it grinds bad. I need to let the rpms drop and slowing move it into gear or it’ll grind. Rev matching is no help. It could be a factory issue or a previous owner issue. I don’t consider it so bad that the car is joyless to drive.

Now the rattle in the back. That shit bugs me.

Master race AT here and feeling left out so the only thing that grinds my gears is having to wipe off lovebugs off the front end when they are all out mating.

I am surprised that the AT moves fast enough to squash bugs!

It's reading about all the manual trans. problems in here that keeps this place so busy and interesting.
Who wants to read about the ol' boring dependable autos with all the fun stuff going on with manuals?
I never miss out. Like a car accident, you can't look away.

I think I can hear a waaaaambulace.
Although, I do love a auto as a tow car, and my missus has one, so they cannot be that bad.
