OH MY GOD!!!! These people exist all over and I am pretty sure their only purpose is to make the flat earthers look good in comparison. The attempt to use old laws that have been horribly distorted (but officer I was traveling not driving") is bad enough for Americans but this dude is in Canada so that makes it even worse.
I think next year at tax time I am going to evoke my rights under the Magna Carta and refuse to pay taxes since it restricts feudal payments to the Crown.

They then call random people in IT asking obscure questions that are completely irrelevant, and determine that they're better than everyone else because they know the answer while the person they call doesn't. I usually refer to these people as those who "don't even know enough to know how little they know." Sovereign Citizens are like that, but with laws and politics. It often doesn't end well for them. While most IT people are both overworked and unarmed, cops have tasers.
Technician: I am having problem X and there's no procedure to solve it.

Engineer1: Ok, standby and let me find a solution.

Engineers together: Well, there's two possible solutions. A is easier to explain, but has a high risk of [really, really bad thing]. Let's write up a detailed procedure and recommend B.

Engineer1 to tech: We came up with A and B, and we recommend B because ... Here's a procedure for B.

Technician: Well I looked online and someone on a forum said A solves the problem so I did A. We are up and running again. Not sure why we would ever need B to solve something so simple.

Thanks, neck is lil bit more sore than I’ve expected, but I’ll be fine. Both bumpers are banged up, but repaint will fix it... but trying to figure out this hung called “Diminish Value Claim” thingy. Not trying to get all the money I can get, but losing the resale value does “mentally” hurt.

First I heard of that one. While I acknowledge that I can be an elitist jerk at times, publishing a report titled "Why People Fail to Recognize Their Own Incompetence" takes it to a whole new level. Should be some interesting reading.

Be ironic if the ones that did the study actually did not recognize their own inability.

Publishing a full study on it may have been doubling down on just that.

True, engineers can get stuck up their own @$$es most of the time, but more often than not, the reasoning is usually based on the "ideal" outcome/result, with budget being considered last (specially if you work in the Govt/Military industry)

It drives me nuts when a so called "tuning company" happens to draw something on 3D CAD, make an exact billet copy of an existing component and then sell it as an "upgrade" or "superior" component, with little to no consideration of the actual function of said component.

Yeah seriously. After reading several fb & forum repair estimate prices, I'm more surprised that, my repair ended up costing this much. (in a good way)
