I guess that proper use of paddle shifters and HP (but not torque) are essential when pulling out of parking spots.

The dude is either a full fledged troll, a 12 year old that hasn't even driven a car yet or just a jackass. I haven't decided which yet. What I do know is that I feel incredibly sorry for anybody working in the education field these days.
IDK he does mention some concepts that are very difficult for a 12 year old to understand and comprehend, he must be at least 18, but still completely clueless about anything mechanical......

Well, the OP did say he took physics in HS, but didn't say whether or not he passed the course -

I don't understand the logic.
The higher the monkey climbs the smaller the ass gets. I'm suggesting it's actually the converse that's true: "the lower the monkey climbs down the coconut tree, the more of his ass you see".

Not that I've thought about this a lot.

How is that saying that torque doesn't mean anything? I'm saying it's not torque alone that matters, but torque times RPMs.

I don't think of them as separate. The internet thinks of them as separate, e.g., horsepower sells cars but torque wins races, or torque gets you moving but horsepower keeps you moving, or horsepower is how fast you hit the wall and torque is how far you move it.

I didn't understand why there were two different things at work, and when I learned the power equation, that's when it struck me that everything on the internet is wrong, and I started this thread.

It was a simple analogy to illustrate how dumb you are. Surprise, it went over your head.

Now this I agree with. I was hoping the paddles thread was a fluke and thought I'd give it another chance, but clearly this forum is not a place for thoughtful discussion. The few helpful responses are drowned out by trolls who don't even know they're trolls.

Really? Here's the first response, in its entirety. Do you really think this is the best we can do?

"Power equals torque x rpm. You cannot have one without the other except when rpm is zero.
Torquing about which is more important is meaningless; torque and power are 2 sides of the same coin."

Someone said you have to keep your hands at 9 and 3 at all times so you can always use the paddles, and my question was how do you do that when making a sharp turn in a parking lot. One person couldn't even visualize what I was asking and made me post a picture of a parking lot, LOL.

And then some people said I was right, that you shouldn't use paddles in that situation. And you think I was the troll? Clearly you have no idea what a troll is. Don't worry, I'll show you.
