I think it's a before, during, after picture(s)... So yes the first one is actually raw. The finished product looks pretty damn good though.

If there is one thing that I can say about the south it would be BBQ!
Smoked prime rib (medium since they were out of rare and medium rare), cornbread stuffing with gravy and deep fried breaded mashed potatoes with cheese and bacon. Whoever came up with the potatoes deserves a shrine and an annual holiday in their honour.

My Mom used to use the left-over mashed potatoes to make fried potato pancakes the next morning for breakfast, although she didn't bread them. Served it with bacon or homemade sausage, and a over-medium egg (or three) on top of it.

Oh I always make extra mashed potatoes so we can fry them up as pancakes. Especially when we have turkey and stuffing and I just mix the leftover stuffing in with the potatoes.
Breaded and with bacon and cheese is a whole new level of mashed potato delight that I have never even considered before and I am a mashed potato aficionado.

Generally I’ve done the “medium well” level of cooked steak but I figured I’d be different and try cooking it a bit less for a bit more juice. I think I made it correctly.

It does sound delicious, and will have to try it.

Hey, I knew that. I didn't fall off the pumpkin wagon here in Puyallup. I fell off the wagon in Ohio -

That steak is perfection!
You are just used to having to over cook everything to make sure the parasites are dead.
