The item is listed at an "Engine Motor Short Block Assembly".

Is it an engine or motor, short block? Does a motor have a "block"?

Are all the holes included? Or just the ones shown?

Technically, it's correct. It's an engine motor as opposed to an electric motor.

I'll stick with the old school definition:

"The real difference, is the fact that "motors" run on electricity, while "engines" run on combustion. ... On the rare occasions we encounter one, we refer to a steam locomotive as an engine, the same word that we give to the motive power of an aircraft. But all electrical devices are driven by motors."

I used to get all hot under the collar about that too. Thermodynamically, the difference between a simple transducer and a heat engine, blah blah...

I finally gave up. Nobody but you or I gives a shit.

I can go to China and buy a GT2871R copy for about $90 for a journal bearing, before shipping.

Buy enough of them to reduce your landed cost and selling it for 100% margins isn't really that hard.

Plus, Walmart is really trying to capture that 3rd party seller/marketplace like Amazon, it's high margins for them.

Yep, the discussion can get quite involved:

I didn't have a dyno but it increased my top speed up to 87 MPH and reduced my 1/4 mile time down to 26 seconds.

So there!

Want a "turbo" down their pants? On their tricycle? Or what about sticking it on the sound generator tube thingy.. what would it do?? Probably muffle the sounds but could set it up to swoosh and pop...

Simple. An engine can be a motor but a motor in not always an engine. The word has nothing to do with fuel source but just the function it completes.
