Quality Lug nuts for track use (drifting)
Recently picked up cosmis MR7 wheels for my car and I’m deciding on what lug nuts to go with. Looking for tuner style steel lugs. Suggestions?

Welcome to the forum.
Very interested in seeing some pics of your new wheels on your car. They are 18x9 +25 correct? What tires did you go with? Suspension mods? As for lug nuts; I have had aluminum and steel. I prefer steel. I currently have open ended lug nuts for my extended studs that are 24k plated. They go with my "look" My suggestion would be to find some that are the look you want and fit in the budget you have.

Muteki make affordable lug nuts that do the job. Most of their products are steel, with one true titanium option. Many people have been running their products for a long time. They have a range of sizes and options at various prices. They are pretty utilitarian. Not "super lightweight, maximum precision performance" stuff, but they do the job and last a long time.
Gorilla brand lug nuts also come to mind on the affordable/utilitarian side. Project Kics is the premium brand that comes to mind if you're willing to shell out the money. They also have the Bull lug nut line for afforadability Many major wheel manufacturers (Rays, Work, SSR, etc) often sell lug nuts under their own company names as well. --- Personally, I prefer close-ended lug nuts or open-ended lug nuts with caps. It helps keep water and debris away from the studs, making sure the threads stay clean and as rust free as possible. Short close-ended lug nuts can sometimes be too short if you have extended studs. Also, longer lug nuts tend to be a little easier to work with since there's more room to grab them with your finger. Depending on what organization you're doing HPDE with, there may be rules that require open-ended lug nuts so that they can inspect thread engagement depth. There's nothing wrong with factory as long as the studs aren't extended.

FT86 needs ARP wheel studs more than it needs aftermarket lug nuts...
