I didn't do this today, but recently. Had the roof wrapped to match the lip kit and wing

New shift knob (superklasse) has the same stitching style/leather layout as my Cusco steering wheel. 350 grams and the slightly raises height is a perfect combo for my Kartboy short shifter.

Went on a drive with a couple other 86 friends (@PMok and @Clipdat) early this morning. Finally got to experience Mines Rd. out here near Livermore. Quite a tricky, technical road. Worth it!

Finally finished installing my air tank / pump in the trunk. Unlike most of these kinds of installs, I wasn't willing to sacrifice the spare tire, or any of the storage area under the trunk, or a lot of trunk space, so I created a miniature setup that tucks neatly to one side, and can also be easily removed by just unplugging the quick-connects, and releasing one strap.

I still need to clean up the wiring... I'd like to replace those three exposed quick-connects coming out of the trunk liner with a single connector of some sort so that I can fully sheathe them.

This completes Part 2 of my silly side project.

You have too much time and money on your hands if all that was for a loud horn.

Alternatively, I have too much time and money on my hands if I build a tire trailer, buy a separate set of dedicated wheels and tires, buy and install various other car parts, pay entry fees, and membership fees, and dedicate an entire day on a bunch of weekends for what amounts to about 6 minute's worth of hard driving around a parking lot... all just to win a cheap, poorly-sized jacket I could never actually wear with my name on it at the end of the year :P

plasti-dipped my silver enkei raijins with matte bronze plasti dip from dipyourcar (they call it "brass monkey"). came out ok, but i have a little texture i need to fix with paint thinner.

the part i'm mad about is i found out discount tire cross threaded on of my lugs and i ended up breaking the stud to get it off. they cross threaded a lug on the front passenger side and owned up to it and paid for repair. they didn't tell me (or didn't realize) that they cross threaded one on the rear drivers side as well. discount tire already said they'll pay to have this one fixed as well, but the shop they use is giving me a hard time about it. wasn't my fault dude, its not like i cross-threaded it on the way out.

i can't blame discount tire too much though since the OEM lugs are trash. i already ordered a set of muteki sr48s to replace them with. still if you take your time and start out hand-winding you shouldn't be cross threading anything ever. my guess is the guy doing the tire install was pretending to be a nascar pit mechanic and did the whole change with the gun.
