Also the police are corrupt. Pulling me over to ask why I have a domo-kun hung on my rear view. Bloke doesn't even go fight crime.

People already pointed it out a few reasons to move out of the U.S

I've been to other states. Colorado for example... I was kicked out of a restaurant because "I didn't belong here."

As for L.A. Lets not even go there. lol
Pulled over for a Domo-kun!? That's racism! and completely ridiculous at that.

Cali has a history of racism towards "asians." So I'm not completely surprised you found a place that was obviously racist but I am still disappointed. Many might think Cali is a beacon of progression away from stuff like that. I know better. We have racists here too, although it's more poignant because they live in compounds and sometimes are shown in the evenings news :ugh:. We had a local klan get the boot from a lawsuit awhile back , apparently they were pestering the clerks at the grocery store too. And also as I'm sure everybody knows, we have some of that Confederate fervor floating around too . There are rednecks here too but they're not the majority of people !

And not to be rude in any way but compared the US, Japan is not much better than Cali in regards to laws. Kentucky is "free" country in comparison to Cali. If Marshall law was declared it would either be laughably inept outside of the bigger cities or outright war over such a ridiculous thing . I can understand wanting to go back to Japan and not deal with the racism though . I'm tired of it and I don't have to deal with it, it's mostly friends and family that do.

Respect of law enforcement officers as you may know them is very common out here. We have some good ones but we have some bad too so it's not really because we have good police. Blowing off some turbo for a cop could be IMHO.

When we left Humboldt county 10 years ago we couldn't buy a trash heap for less than $100k maybe $200k. My grandmother sold her $186k house for over $350k! And moved out here with us. The housing prices there were ridiculously high back then . My parents bought their first home for $99k out here on a 3 year fixed rate and it was a nice classic home with two stories in the middle of a quiet town and then the housing bubble collapsed and they couldn't get refinanced .

On a serious note who is going to pray/ritiualate that the Scion announcement is about a new iQ? I could lead us in prayer but I don't really care either way if the sell a Scion variant.

Here I can get pulled over by a cop in my modded and boosted car and have the cop compliment me and just tell me to slow it down a little without popping my hood and issuing me a fix it ticket for aftermarket parts.

Here I can roll up next to a cop with my loud exhaust, spool my turbo right next to him and have the BOV sound off, and he waves and gives me a thumbs up.

Here I can roll down the freeway and not worry about being on the 6 O'clock news seeing my car smashed up because some moron was involved in a high speed chase with the entire PD. There is a reason CA implemented the 3 Strikes rule...lol

Try that shit in CA and see what happens.

I was thinking the same thing! Pulling up to a cop, reving till your BOV goes off... why would anybody in the right state of mind do that!?!

I love San Diego because the fact we pratically have the beach, the mountains and the desert in our backyard. Add on top of that, tons of diversity, woman and the weather is nice all year long.

It was an illustration to notate that cops don't screw with you just because you have a modified car. Not to illustrate that's what people actually do on purpose to cops.

Who said anything about pulling up to a cop and reving till your BOV goes off. When you drive a turbo car, as you accelerate the turbine spins....the BOV vents. I didn't say anything about pulling up at a stop light and reving. You would be a moron to do something like that.

You guys take things to a whole other level sometimes...lol. My wife's immediate family moved from FL where it's nice year round, to here. They enjoy things like snow during Christmas and getting to watch the seasons change. I enjoy having a track open all year round like FL has, but....TN has seasons so track closes.

I went to the Atlanta Auto Show today and I talked to the Scion representatives and they confirmed that the New York Auto show might have an announcement on the Ft86.

That sounds like it's official that it's gonna come out as Scion.

Just cause he talked to the scion Guy doesn't mean scion's going to announce it lol, he said it might have an announcement. Unless that's not exactly what they said?

Street racing was huge in Southern California so the cops don't take modified cars too lightly, especially if you give them a reason to pull you over. If you have a huge intercooler, a loud fart pipe, bov, you are going to get rolled. Thats why you see a lot of the "clean" looking cars that come out of CA don't usually advertise, "hey cops look at my car and how loud it is!"

I've dealt with all the fix it tickets, smog, state ref when I was younger and though it sucked, they do it for a reason.

FL is nice but they have that humidity...

Only thing annoying about Japan is the stupid Syaken inspection, but there are ways to get fake inspection certificates and circumvent that. Cali's a lot worse as far as restrictions go. You don't need CARB certified intakes or headers in Japan. You can put a high-flow cat on in Japan, can't do that for OBDII vehicles in Cali.

Yeah that's what I was getting at. It started pretty heavy in Cali and moved this direction. But now Cali is like "Anti" modded cars. To me, that sucks and no way I would want to live in Cali. Cops are educated on car mods out there to much for my liking....lol.

FL definitely has that humidity....and Hurricane season...which is why I wouldn't want to live there. They also are emissions free, so you can do whatever you want to your car...which is a plus for them.
