61°F is about 16°C. l have 18°C here now, sunny with light clouds, nice for gardening. So what? Who cares?

But that photo, are you in a swamp under a highway bridge?
It's just a friendly reminder (mostly for the rest of my U.S. people who haven't had a good cold morning in a while). And yeah I was walking from the hotel to the village and it was this curved road down a hill under a bridge with a little stream under it. Someone made a little park under it to with picnic benchs lol. It's kind of neat with the pink sky and yet sad in a way. Just like this picture, haha.

Oh dude you need to be careful hanging out under bridges! At least in larger urban centers.

It has been as much as 32 (89) with a humidex of over 40 (104) here almost every day for the last two months. As much as I hate winter something less tropical would be nice.

Ahhhh Vt so the worst case scenario is you trip over an empty Chateau Margaux bottle.

Not so much in some places.

Well, soon after you're married your wife may have a child and want to quit work - then you won't be able to afford your pills -

Your second job will take up all that spare time so, you won't have time to be bored anymore.

Feel better now?

When I was a kid, I once said out loud that I was bored. My father heard me and had me clean out three large hog houses. With a scoop shovel. One end of a hog house had very dusty dirty straw in it. But a wet handkerchief over the mouth and nose took care of that. The other end is where the hogs pooped and peed. Very soupy, stinky stuff. If you missed the hog house window with a scoop of that stuff, it splashed back into your face.

I never, ever said I was bored again, for the rest of my life.

The only medication I had was ditch weed and home made grape wine. Do you have any idea how much ditch weed you have to smoke to get high?

Now, do you feel better?

Well, I certainly hope she doesn't have a child without me. I'm not entirely sure I'm cut out to raise baby Jesus.

Also, you just violated about 60% of the Diversity Compliance Training that I just had to endure this week.

A window? Sounds like a poorly designed hog house.
Around here there's two basic designs, been used for millennia.
One is a floor-level hatch in the wall, leading to the pile of shit outside.
The other is more sophisticated, a hole in the floor down to the shit storage directly beneath.
You just shovel your shit into each of them, no splashback.
Brilliant. Except for all the shit.

Well, the ones we had were buildings about 20' x 40' with concrete floors. They had a row of "windows" about 3' x 3', about 3' off the floor. Outside was parked the manure spreader. When it was full it was taken out and the manure was spread out on the fields.

Is it a slow day or what ..
