I can't believe that the online ordering in the future will be via the public domain. It will be interesting to see whether it is dealers only, or whether you log an enquiry on the internet and it is directed to the local dealer. To create a totally new way of ordering vehicles would be unlikely on a new model with unknown demand.

Waiting for pricing. Hopefully public announcement today and pick up my car next week.

I am guessing that as long as the ordering system requires a 3K deposit (which seems what Subaru dealers are asking for) and it takes into accoutn demand and gives you an estimated delivery date prior to accepting the order, then there is not much problem with allowing people to place orders online.

yeah its a bit all over the place.
i had one guy there tell me 12pm, two others tell me 5pm.

maybe 12pm just to make sure most of the details are in.. no idea.

but, if i cant get one of these, i may give up on the 86/brz idea

i dont want to wait 18 months. (for the toyota at least)

BRZ's are on their way to the dealers in Victoria.
Single car tray on the Monash today, outbound.
WRB. A friend spotted, so unsure of any other details, but he remarked how great the colour suited the car.

So BRZ orders put in monday will ber 2013 deliveries? if that's the same as my current order for the GTS I'd rather go for a BRZ.

If you got in before the deadline today you have a chance of getting one of the first 200, if not one of the next shipments early 2013.
if you go after that, or order online, you will maybe see one in 12+ months.

According to the two dealers I spoke to, all ordering is closed and nothing else can be ordered until Monday. Possible that some online orders will be takes from the untaken initial 200.
