SC fitment with 2017 model
Found a used Edelbrock SC kit for sale on this forum, but the kit was off a first generation BRZ and I was wondering if the kit will fit on my car. Has anyone tried to install a Edelbrock SC kit from the first generation on a post-2017 model? Thanks.

I also drive the 17+ model 86. I was told by ft86speedfactory that the edelbrock SC kit would be compatible with our year and model. However, I’d like to know if there are more options and if anyone has supercharged their 17+ models.

Folks have installed Cosworth, Eldebrock, Sprintex, and JSRC on 17+’s that I have seen so far. I’m personally going to go JSRC for my 18 tS next year. From what I’m told, the newer Eldebrock Kits have been retrofitted to work with the 17+, so there may be some fitment issues with an older kit.

I was told that the 2017+ alternator could be in the way and switching to the older alternator will make it work. Wonder if someone here can share their experience.

I have had the Harrop SC on my 2017 for over a year and 23K miles. It can be installed as-is, but a slight modification (Dremel) to the blower snout gives the alternator sense wire a bit more breathing room.

Edelbrock and Jackson kits both fit 17+ cars.
Make sure you get a ***NEW*** kit, or you will have to modify/retrofit older kits. PM me to order. |
