Yep.
Those spots are only about 2 months old. The spot on my fender that has been bare steel for 4 years has a bit of haze of surface rust on it but that is all. Obviously they did not feel the roof needed to be as rust resistant as the lower part of the car.

The first thing I said to the wife was "at least we aren't in the Lotus, then it would be $2000 to fix, not $500. Lotus windshield is $1500 just to buy.

I've just been lucky all these years. Of all the thousands of miles I have driven in the hills here, this is my first windshield. I was behind a dually pickup.

I do have one of those chips on the roof, but very small. I can live with it.

BTW, the B-52s concert I went to back in the day was one of only 2 concerts I ever walked out in the middle of. They were so awful.

Missed that somewhere along the way. Because it's just time, or something else?

From all my highway driving the whole front bumper and hood of my car are covered in small dings and the paint is so blasted from salt that it is matte. My neighbor at my trailer owns a premier body shop that does custom paint for transport trucks so I asked him one day what he would charge to paint the front bumper. He looks the car over, points out some dings and scratches on the sides, pauses for a second and says "cut my grass for the summer and we will do it for free". So, for a once a week pass over about 80 square feet of grass I get a paint job. He is even giving me a loaner car while it is in.
