Fuel line clip

Hello!

I recently bought my first FRS! I love it so far! I bought it with a blown engine and I swapped in a used engine I bought off the forum last week. Only problem I ran into is the fuel line clip. I looked up how to disconnect them "properly" on youtube, got them off no problem but the plastic clip inside is no longer strong enough to hold the fuel line on, it will slip off the fitting pretty easily when under pressure. It seals fine, when I used safety wire to keep it attached it has no issue. Problem is I obviously don't want to operate the vehicle with something like that, even if it works well.

I am wondering if anyone knows where to buy the little plastic clips. I do not want to buy the entire fuel line if I can avoid it. I have been searching the internet and have not found anything. I removed the clip and tried to re shape it a bit but that did not work.

I appreciate the help!

Welcome to the group. Congrats on your engine replacement.

I'll ring up @Ultramaroon for you, he has a parts manual, maybe he can help.

I need the green clip inside of this fuel line. I was hoping I could buy the clip itself instead of the $87 line. But I don't see a part number for it on the diagram. Thanks for showing me the diagram! At least now I have a number to buy the hose!

Thanks again for the help everyone!

Sometimes it seems like assemblies should be broken down further. Tough to say why they aren't. :/

Good on ya for rescuing one.

I believe it's because its a fuel line and it's a safety design thing, they wouldn't want you replacing just the fittings unlike the cars of old
