Hey folks, I got the day off today -

All the women (wife, daughter, three granddaughters) went on a all day shopping spree up in the big city.

Oh, shit, - that's gonna cost me a fortune -

So, what am I going to do on my afternoon off? What I usually do every day - take a nap -

The Hyundai has what seems to be a bad front left wheel bearing. Really hoping someone has a replacement in stock...

Anyone test driving a Giulia, please do yourself a favor. As soon as you get into the car, before you even fasten your seat belt, set the driving mode to dynamic. The throttle response in neutral and automatic is absolutely terrible, with the engine feeling hesitant and like it was stuttering unless you all but floor it. In dynamic the car is sublime.

Although it is an Alfa, so it is entirely possible that the one I was test driving was just broken.

Just to brag about the weight of their bullets that come out of their giant guns. (Battleship USS Wisconsin)

Just dropped the car off at the Subaru dealer for the parking brake issue. The guy who checked it in attempted to duplicate the problem and couldn’t. So I told him just to check it out anyway. After driving my car for 18 months I think I have a good idea of something suddenly not working 100% correctly for the past two weeks. *♂️

Bad bearings get hot. When they get really bad they get loose and, like worn ball joints, will start hammering over bumps.

Recipe for catastrophic failure. Change them as soon as they start howling.

I thought we were allowed to give bad advice in OT... besides I said 'until it freezes' which is isn't technically untrue...
