I use VLEDS bulbs instead of DD, and I've been using them for 13+ years. 13+ years ago, yes, bulbs would start to flicker and go out all the time. Their modern bulbs don't seem to ever fail (occasionally you'll get a bad bulb out of the box, but if they work out the box they're good for the life of the car). That includes their high end Triton bulbs (which I ran 5 sets of for 5+ years on my RX-8) and Micro headlight bulbs. Their LEDs are also color matched across all bulb types, so if you get 6000K headlights, Triton DRLs and 194 parking lights, they will all match. Highly recommend them. My '17 is all LED from the factory, so they aren't getting much business from me now, but here are the few I am running:

You pre-17 models could use some of those goodies. |

I had one dome light go out with intermittent blinking and shutting off after a year. I replaced it because $5. Hadn’t had an issue with it or the others in years.
