Mine went down. Now at $52 a month.
This is why it is meaningless to compare prices.

Look at progressive, they're the best I've found around the net price wise. I prepay $450 for 6 months for a 2018 limited BRZ.

Most provinces here will charge you more for being male.

Maybe you can get some mad savings by changing that M to an F like this dude: https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/calga...erta-1.4754416

Yes I did just assume your gender!

Seriously though, this is a question no one can answer for you. There is no standard across the country for what your insurance will cost you whether you are in Canada or the USA. Too many variables to consider.

Edit: I should read the whole thread as this got posted earlier :P

I once saved $100 a year by moving a block away which put me in a "better" section of town.

When I moved out of my parents place to my condo 6km away, mine increased by about $250/year due to my new postal code being a "high crime rate" area. Despite my car being parked on the street at my parents but locked in an underground parkade now...

Over the last 12 months my car insurance went up $600 a year! It went up $300 a year shortly after Harvey (lots of people had their rates raised even though they made no claims) and then another $300 for no specific reason. No accidents, no flooding (house flooded, cars didn't), no tickets, same address, same cars, same credit rating, etc.. I was paying nigh on $260 a month for a 2017 Audi S3 and a 2013 Scion FR-S (both garage kept) at 48 years of age with a credit score of 820 and a clean driving record! [Edit] Also have house & flood insurance with the same company.

Switched insurance companies and back down to around $200 a month with the Scion being a few more dollars a month than the the Audi for some reason. I feel I should be paying a lot less but after shopping around insurance rates in Houston are just high.

Save 15% on your insurance by switching to woman!

I would say to try companys that work like a broker and shop around for you.

TD, PC operate like that. Or you could simply contact a broker and they'll shop around for you. Depending on where you work some companys offer corporate pricing.

Did your insurance explain why? That's reason enough to shop around for another quote....

I was in a '99 Chevy Cavalier Z24 and '00 Chevy Expressvan at $150ish a month with whatever company I thought was cheapest.
In '15, I bought the FRS and switched to Progressive and it went down to $90 a month for all three vehicles. Make sure you shop prices every year or so.
Could be my age, credit score, last ticket was a while ago, Moon's alignment but whatever happened I'm not complaining.

Just shop around. You'll get different quotes with "discounts."

I was paying $720 (or $60) for full coverage for $500 deduc when I bought my 2013 FRS brand new. It eventually went down a bit after a couple years. I pay $120 full coverage for my 2012 Prius, 2016 Rav4 Hybrid, 1995 Celica GT, and 2002 Echo (liability only). I was 27 when I bought my FRS brand new. Now I am 32 with my current cars.
