5. Why? Well I had a 2013 mini and got tired of the $3k a trip repair bill from the shop. If I also going to spend that much often might as well be a proper fun car. I love cars that handle great and are fun to just play with. This fit the bill perfectly and I love it.

Plans: This is my daily driver otherwise the plan is:
1. Don't screw it up or kill it
2. Please refer to 1
3. Drive fast and track it from time to time, refer to number 1
4. Keep it stock and in excellent condition, again please see 1. Down the road I might grab a second one to mod and make bonkers.
5. Did I mention not to eff it up?

Pictures to come after the bath in the morning.

Wow! Another Mini Refugee, and a 2013 model year at that too!

5) Car was purchased to afford a trade in on a 2013 Mini Cooper S Clubman that was giving me fits and had me spooked, waiting for the next big thing to go wrong. Liked the way that car handled, gas mileage and... the horn.

Was looking at hot hatches - WRX STI, Honda Civic Type R, Focus RS.

The BRZ tS is more of a sports car than the rest which I thought were quite big (especially in comparison to the Mini - BRZ is waay wider than the Mini). Don't need a 4 door, and didn't want to do FWD again. All the others were more money than I wanted to spend. Nearly went for the WRX, just could not justify that kind of money on a second car. The CTR's in the area were all going way over MSRP. One dealership was taking bids. I'm buying a car, not a house!

I like the BRZ a lot. Handles well, though not the same as the Mini go kart feeling. BRZ needs more power. The biggest shortcoming to me is not the HP, it's the torque. Sounds downright agricultural.

Will be dealing with power issue in the near future (FI & associated accoutrement). Car is still not out of the run in period. And, it's getting Mini horns - Authoritative, Teutonic. Not eep eep.

Pretty much only 1/3 of the tS's are available.

Also I'm about 20% done with the VIN list. I already recorded the first 160 tS's, but again I'm recording the first 1000 2018 BRZ's to make sure I don't miss any.

Unrelated but I used to live in Napa, not many people from Napa on these forums, I'll have to keep an eye out for your car next time I'm down there.

1) Hi everyone, my name is John.

5) To be honest, it sort of all happened really fast. My previous car was a 2010 Subaru Legacy GT, another rare breed. I was the first and only owner of that car and drove it for 8 years doing daily/autocross/track. Over the past several months, the LGT started to have some issues that were going to need some serious cash for some repairs. I was taking it into the dealer near my work and kept seeing a TS in white in their lot just sitting there. Months go by and the white TS is still sitting there. So I thought to myself, I do want this car, I've raced them before in autocross and they were a blast, not to sure on the white though. So I went to my hometown and saw that had one in WRB. I strolled on over there 2 weekends ago to take a look and while I was there they offered a deal I couldn't refuse. So I bought it 3 days later and been driving it since.

As for plans for this car. I do plan on keeping it stock for a brief bit, before prepping it more for autocross (STX) and eventual track days while still being my daily.

Thanks!

Just oil issues from 2 head gasket replacements and a couple of suspension issues. Didn't want to spend anymore time/money on the car and decided to put it all towards a new one that can be competitive in racing.
