I just called SoA and I have a delivery date of sometime in July, but I still do not have a VIN or an ETA. This confirms what the dealer told me.

I think it is weird that people that have delivery dates in August have a VIN and an ETA, yet I am still waiting. I am 1 of 1, on the East Coast.

My dealer told me that the boat was supposed to hit the port on the east coast as of the 9th of July, where as the first time he told me the 15th. Can anyone confirm this?

I feel like I am about to lose my mind, there is an FRS calling my name and all I have to do is walk into the dealership on Friday, so tempting...

The waiting sucks. After 2.5 months since my deposit & order, I still had only a VON with an ETA of September. I gave up and hunted down the car myself in about 6 days. The car was sitting on a dealer lot like mentioned above. For folks on the east coast, check the northeast; from what I saw, more dealers up there were sent unrequested cars.

I got my ETA and VIN yesterday and I am in Illinois. I placed my order early March. I believe I am 6 out of 16 allocations at the dealership.

There are two cars of the same color and trim as I ordered sitting unallocated at dealers within 100 miles.

I hate to say it but this weekend I'll likely have my aftermarket parts removed from my current car and it will be ready to sell. After that I'll probably start assessing available BRZ's and FR-S's in the region.

I understand that people back out of orders, but I think everyone generally had the understanding that preorder holders were going to be fulfilled first. They are already holding onto our money for christ's sake. However it seems that Subaru is largely sending cars wherever, judging by the number of preorderers finding similar cars nearby and random allocations showing up before preorders are fulfilled. The whole show is a clusterfugg.

At this point Subaru is already holding your money and probably has you comitted to an agreed to price. It wouldn't surprise me if preorder holders find themselves in a situation where Subaru starts offering charity related promotions for new buyers but not for them.

lol I was thinking the same, that would suck pretty bad cause a few hundred dollars incentive would help a bunch. Another scenario would be to give it to the left over preorderers and leaving out the ones who actually got their cars already lol

Got a return call from SoA today and was told an ETA of August-September. Pre-ordered on 3/23. Don't think I'll every do this pre-order game in the future with Subaru.

Just called SOA and they had my VIN number, woo!

So, definitely looks like I'll be getting my vehicle this month. Just don't know "when" exactly, but the SOA rep was going to do some research for me with the dealership.

Edit: Just received an email with July 30th ETA, so practically August. Maybe it'll come sooner like the other ETAs I have seen in the past.

They should rename automatic to automagic. It sounds more epic.

I just spoke to my dealer (in SNE, not SoA), and he said that there are zero automatic BRZs coming to the US in this batch. I'm not sure if it's true (obviously there's at least one in TN), but it's disheartening either way.
