Reminds me of back-in-the-day, in California, when I was driving a company pickup to the research stationed I managed. I would pass a mushroom farm and stop in at the back door and this pretty Mexican lady would sell me a large box of mushrooms for fifty cents.

There was this big pile of spent mushroom manure behind the buildings. Since I was putting in a new lawn at a new house I had bought, I ask if they would sell me some. The manager said, sure, you can take as much as you want, for FREE (and they even loaded it).

So, over a period of a few weeks I took several truck loads and rototilled it into where my lawn was going to be.

Welp, even though I fumigated the lot before I seeded the grass, guess what?

Yep, LOTS of mushrooms came up ..

My neighbors were elated .. free mushrooms, just down the street.

OK, break time is over, back to vacuuming the house ..

Well, it's not all work and no play for pa-pa today. I got challenged to a water gun fight, me and the toddler up on the deck where the pools are and the other two granddaughters down under the deck and on the other end of it.

Remember when water guns were pistols, held about 6 oz of water and could shoot about 10 feet?

WELL, not anymore, these kids got these double barreled, high powered, water cannons, that hold about a gallon of water and will shoot 50 feet. I could use them to put out a fire if the house ever caught fire -

OK, I lost the water fight (the game never ends till pa-pa gets good and soaked - so, after about 45 minutes, I did get soaked).

Next up, lunch and a nap - life is good!
