Oh, you know. This & that.

Quit accepting your phone's suggestion for using the triple dots! Just type them out manually.

Yup. The site did have an SSL cert, which expired yesterday. Odd to only get one for three months.

Oh, yes, when I was working, we had "company phones" but, you had to find them yourself - the company did give us a pocket full of dimes.

Site admins need to either cut a new cert, or remove https entirely. Doesn't seem to have too much of an impact, unless your work proxy (or phone) auto-redirects to https.

I am getting an error when checking thanks, but haven't noticed anything else. You could manually accept the cert if it were self signed or something along those lines, but not much we can do for one which is expired.

I get the error every time I load a page. Have to override each time.

Got one of the new "Sextortion" emails today.

I replied to the address, saying, "Hey, I can't send you any bitcoin, but would you mind sending me a copy of the video when you send it out to all my contacts? The one I took and sent out was a little grainy hoping yours is better."

I don't expect an answer...

Some work filters will auto-redirect to https if you're there, or it could be browser cache or a https bookmark to the site. I got next to no sleep with that storm last night, so probably forgetting something obvious.

One of our R&D techs received one of those and replied in a panic. The outbound message flagged an alert which resulted in us having to review it. Surprisingly not the most awkward conversation I've had since starting in information security.

Seems like the original cert was issued not too long after this thread.

Now if you need me, I'll be acting more smug than normal, and apologize for nothing.

Well, poooo- I'm off to round up the toddler and take a nap. The two older granddaughters best be quiet.

I'll expect this glitch will fix itself while I'm napping -
