Then I start talking to another tech and he says a tech got fired last month for taking a customer's 86 and doing donuts in the parking lot. I'm thinking WTF!
I'm thinking that they were just messing with your paranoia -

Which one of my enemies told them I was paranoid? How did you know that they know that I'm paranoid.

Today I finally corrected the horrible noises my FR-S makes. The previous owner removed the muffler and welded a straight pipe to the midpipe. The tips weren't even welded on, they were just the shitty parts store slip on ones that are held on by a screw....

I found a good deal on an HKS Legamax Premium catback, HKS frontpipe, and no name brand overpipe in the classifies, so I bought it and installed it today. I haven't started the car yet since I still need to source some gaskets, but I have a feeling it'll sound much nicer than what was on there. Now all I need is a header and my exhaust system will be complete.

I was surprised when I found a Toyota sticker on the rear differential while I was under the car. Everything else on this car says Subaru on it, so that was a real WTF moment.

Oh, I have no idea -

"When they first got the car, two guys are looking at the car and under dash. Not sure why they were doing that other than they wanted to disable my dash cam".

If it would make you feel any better, when I have the oil changed in my car, I mark the old filter before I take it in. Then, after the oil change, while the car is still in the lot, I check to make sure the filter has been changed.

In addition, I check the oil dip stick to make sure they put the right amount new oil in and it was in fact new oil. I also look under the car to make sure there isn't any oil dripping from the drain plug -

Your garage needs straightening up, your carpet is outdated and your driveway needs to be sealed. -

Oh, BTW, good move on replacing that so called exhaust system -

Yeah, I know the garage is a disaster, the carpet is old, and the driveway needs that black shit smeared on it, but the car comes first. It'll all get taken care of right after I purchase/install the header and suspension mods I want.

I have three times where people hit my car(not frs or they might be dead right now) and my van and all three I let it go without calling the police as
they said the would pay for it. The first lady hit me and I didn't call the police that time but she paid for the damages cash. The next two they blew me off.
I will not allow that to happen again since people are jerks...mostly.
In my 2 months old Mitsubishi I was rear ended by a 21 year old driving a lifted pickup truck. My bumper was badly gouged. The kid says there's no damage. I then say I need your insurance. He calls his mom. His mom tells me a sob story that she's out of a job and that she'll pay for the damages.

The initial damages was around $800. She paid that, when they removed the bumper and saw supplemental damage she didn't pay that part. Ignore my calls, no x-mas card, no thank you for not calling the police or her insurance. When I sold my car, even though there was insurance involvement, carfax knew it had been in an accident.

I will never do this again. Insurance cards or the popo gets called in.

I had that setup with a Gruppe-s UEL header with OFT. It will sound great , Quiet when cruising, OPens up when you punch it. There will be some smell though with no cat. I ended up changing the HKS dual resonated FP to an Invidia Catted FP.

All of which will be for sale soon! As I am going a lil bigger on my exhaust to mate up with my ACE headers

I considered going catless, but the cops in my area are real tightwads and look for the smallest excuse to pull someone over. If they notice that my car smells funny then they won't hesitate to give me a ticket. I'm trying to source a JDL catted UEL header (my top choice after months of research, YouTube videos, etc), but the only one I've seen in the classifies so far had a gutted cat

You can go catless on the header if you keep the one in the front pipe. You may not pass inspection but should be good enough for the POPO. Losing the cat in the header is what really gives the HP gains in the this car.

That seller is an idiot why buy an aftermarket catted header only to gut it. Unless he just wanted it for some visual inspection

I just installed my HKS front pipe about 8 hours ago and haven't even started the car yet. Swapping back to the stock front pipe or buying a catted one would have made that all kind of a waste IMO.

I don't have enough spare dough for headers just yet, so I'll probably use the HKS front pipe with the stock headers for a while until I officially make up my mind on which headers (and front pipe if I go catless) I want to get.

I popped in a new K&N drop-in air filter and took it to the gas station to fill it up. 425 miles on the most recent tank of gas at around 36 mpg....and that's down a bit from the tank before. Compared to the Tacoma that I was driving, this thing is practically paying for itself.

omgfrswtf, you are supposed to OIL the K&N filter, NOT fill it up with gas!
