7k into new 86 and the TOB is going out

What the ****, man? Are the TOB on these cars that bad? TOB went out on my last 86 at 65k and now 7k, I don't even abuse it, and it barely gets driven.

I remember once someone posted a picture of the TSB paper here, anyone have it so I can show it to my dealer and get it replaced quick without having to wait 2 weeks for them to find the problem and another 2 weeks to it get replaced?

It's a 2017 too, I thought they upgraded the TOB on the new models? The TSB is only from 2013-2016, you guys think it'd work if I show it to them? I really don't wanna leave my car there for a month.

The TOB was upgraded in 17 so if you are still having issues the TSB sheet probably will not apply. Could be that yours was built in 2016 before the change was made I suppose.
Make sure that the service department orders the right part number. The old number is still in the computers (in Canada at least) and when I had mine replaced that is what they were going to order. I checked and gave them the right number.

This one is the correct number? I'll show it to them when I go on Friday. I have a 860, not sure when those were built.

The month and year of manufacture are on upper right of the tag inside your driver doorframe.
Yes that is the updated part number.

The part numbers (old/new) are the same. The TSB number is different for 2017MY.

This is good to know since I do not believe there has been a mention of a different 2017 TSB before!

Point of clarification though. You mean the part number of the 2016 TSB is the same as the one for the 2017 TSB right?

Correct. Basically the section where you see Previous and New, the numbers are exactly the same. So they were still using the older part during the manufacturing process.

And there's a production range stop, so at some point during 2017MY, they changed it.

2018 is not affected.

Interesting.

Is there any easy way of knowing based on production date (02/17 here) if you have the new part or not? 30k kms and no signs of any issues so far, but since there is a 2017 TSB...

You don't happen to have access to a copy of the new TSB do you?

That sucks, but at least for you it could be said that it's due to wear, mine is barely 7k and it's already going out. Kind of upsetting.
