I'm not 100% sure. They have been a lot of discussion and everyone say different stuff. BUT most claim (in calculation) it push the bias lil bit to the near. If I get 2 piston ver in the rear, prob it'll even out again.

Bubba says just to put together an emergency kit of a couple gallons of water and a roll of duck tape and put it in the trunk.

No long road trips, and keep your roadside assistance current.

I was just pulling your leg. I know it's not leaking yet.

Well, OK, he might have to put the water in quart containers to get them to fit in the "trunk"....

Maybe Bubba didn't have a Lotus … but he had a car that was close …

That would work if a lotus was like a normal car where you can open a hood and touch a radiator and hoses, but a lotus is nothing like a normal car. You have to dismantle half the car to get to the hoses and radiator.

I know. I'm still torn as to what to do. If the wife and I get stranded in the hills for hours, or a tow driver f's up the car getting it on a flatbed, I would be kicking myself for not spending the grand. But damn, I sure would like to use my warranty for something.

I'm definitely not going to suggest hitting it with a hammerrrrrr... rock kicked up by some truck, which was lucky enough to happen so close to home.

Extra jugs of water would get you back to civilization. He has a good point. Those end caps only crack. Keep water temp down and stop to top off every mile or so.

Yea, if I wasn't so honest.

WHo knows, it could last another 50k miles, you never know. The radiator in my 1978 GTI had plastic end caps and it lasted 120k miles, and tough miles of a kid thrashing the shit out of it.

I've read stories of guys ruining their engine by trying to get home. They say don't risk it. You have coolant spray on the windshield, pull over and call the flat bed.
