i swear, dealershits need to stop hiring JiffyLube Mechanics and Craigslist Part Finders, and hire real life Mechanics ....
was promised my car on Fri, then that turned into Sat, the Monday, then after a big blow up on monday and find out theyre missing a part thats causing the wait, and me not working at a dealer, i am able to find and get the part within an hour drive to, only to find out theyre still waiting for a gasket that is on its way on a fedex truck when the part they need is yet again instock within an hour drive from the store ... WTF! do i need to walk them through the removal, swap and correct torque specs of the vehicle too .... ... on the side note, i met a customer with a 2014 FRS that has 180k on the clock .... |

i used to be a saleman for a dealer and understand the influx and how it works ... however lack of communication and dumbasses not doing their jobs correctly is unacceptable .. comes down to it that they just sont care about the end customer base once the norm dealer requirements are out of the way... i had to drag in the GM SM and shop Foreman to finally get straight answers.. they really dont want me to call the owner whome i happen to know.. |

Exactly. The misuse of JDM to mean made in Japan or simply that somthing is Japanese (such as Kraz's use for the Infinity art show) has been one of my pet peeves since my earliest days on the DSM forums. JDM means made in Japan for sale and use IN Japan. Guys are always saying "I am building a real JDM car" but they aren't unless they imported a RHD vehicle that was never intended for export. All they are doing is building USEM car that has some JDM parts on it. This applies doubly for the Acura since they have mostly been designed and built outside of Japan for many years. They are actually a USDM vehicle and any that are sent Japan are USEM (US Export Market).

JDM to me is anything Japanese made and only sold in Japan. Much easier when I'm looking at Casio watches but gets very blurry with bigger things like cars! |

Yep that is the definition of JDM. If it is made for export it is no longer a Domestic Market item.

Why does Sunday suddenly heve to be nearly 100F, when I have plans to stand around on a giant parking lot, unless I need to be sprinting for a downed cone... Heat index will be another 10+...
Moronic hobby in this weather...

We had real hot all week and it is supposed to drop to the mid 70°s for the weekend. Guess we are sending the heat your way.

I flew all the way to California to stand around on a giant parking lot in the heat. Does that make me even dumber than most?
