You didn't try to back it over the same curb for comparison in the after picture?

Maybe tomorrow!

It was my first time at the garage since picking up the car the other day, I was only there because of an emergency, server room was overheating at work. I'll admit that when I backed into a space I stopped what looked like several miles away from the curb stop because I was afraid. When I looked I could tell I had plenty of clearance though . I ran off to go into the office to attend the matter at hand. I decided before leaving to take advantage of the empty garage but I was also in a hurry to go back home so it didn't really occur to me.

Thanks for the tip! Tried it out this morning and it's much nicer having some actual numbers to look at.

I've read through the manual twice (before even owning the car), and I don't recall this little tidbit being mentioned. May have missed it, but I'm wondering if this is just one of those hidden features that you have to just "know"?

Today I installed the RB V1 Wing!

So My wing Finally came in from AliExpress took about 25 days to have it delivered from the day I ordered it but over all super happy with how it turned out really makes the cars rear end look amazing.

The brackets did not match any of the drilled holes on the wing and the mounts so I had to re-drill new holes which was not too big of a deal since the washers I used covered up the old pre-drilled holes.

rating Id give for a 435$ wing 3.8/5

Do need to paint the wing. Also came with a few chips not too bad fixed it within minutes.

I also used black silicone, which you cant even tell in the pics to seal up the brackets so water doesn't leak into the drilled oles and into the trunk.

FOLLOW MY Instagram and Youtube @BreakTraction for more on my build.

Just some minor stuff today. Took out the sound tube. Raised the seats by 35mm using racing spacers and 10.9 M10 1.25 65mm bolts. Needed the spacers bored out to handle the 10mm bolts so I took it to a machine shop and they did a perfect job. I wanted to get hardened spacers specially designed for seats and the bolts have greater hardness than stock. The only snag was that the hex bolts had a larger head than OEM so I needed to get a couple of 10mm washers to lift the head slightly so the socket could reach them. Total cost was about $60.

Next project is putting in an auxiliary fuse box attached to the 12v power outlet in the glove box for the front parking sensors and radar detector. I don't like the idea of using an add a circuit because then the interior fuse box cover won't fit. Also, since I'm using a power plug instead of tapping into the wiring, everything will be easy and clean. The fuse box will have six, separately fused terminals. Installation of the parking sensors will be next.

Loaded in the OpenFlash Stage 1 tune to my car. Was a painless procedure once I found the correct files to use (2018 cars weren't in the main files download package). Took her for a quick drive, and while not any major changes in how she drives, power does seem to hold steady up to redline and not drop off like on the stock tune. Idle seems to be smoother too, and while it just might be my imagination, the torque dip seems to be a little less pronounced, although to be fair I didn't notice it much on the stock tune.

Overall, a worthwhile investment since I'm not planning to go forced induction with my car. Big gains will come next Spring when I'm planning on adding headers, an exhaust, and maybe a flex fuel kit.

TRD Replica spoiler, debadge trunk, black/reflective emblem overlays for front/rear/steering wheel, yellow laminx on fogs, clear side markers and led bulbs, Husky floor mats, and Corsa Catback. It was a productive evening. Only 200 miles on it so far but loving it.

Installed Drivewaylabs hood duct. All my neighbors are looking out their windows with puzzled looks as to why I am cutting a giant hole in my hood.

Does that TRD rep spoiler cover up the factory 2017+ wing trunk holes? Curious which wing this is if it does.

Car is so new it looks like you still have some plastic protectors to peel

Installed front parking sensors and hardwired radar detector. The two parking sensors fit right into corners of the black front grille so they are not even noticeable. Because I didn't want to use an add-a-fuse since the fuse cover would no longer fit, I used the power outlet behind the glove box and just used a plug adapter and sent it to an auxiliary 6 outlet small fuse block. I located the fuse block and sensor control unit in the passenger footwell and the monitor under the left side of the dash on the driver's side. I really didn't want any junk on the dash, either this or a phone mount, so it is a great position. I also connected the radar detector to the same fuse box. Having done this before, I also disconnected the buzzer inside of the sensor monitor because I know when to look and sometimes a heavy rain will set it off. Works great and prevents me from scraping the front. Here are the parts I used:

Power supply cord
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01HGO2OIS

Grounding bar
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000OTJ89Q

Fuse box
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00QMTAZ1W

Parking sensor
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0087QI3GM

I also tightened the ProClip Console Phone mount which is the best solution I've seen for holding a phone. Since I have Bluetooth and Android Auto, there is no reason to have the phone high on the dash, but I don't like it just loose in the car either. And I didn't have to make any holes or take off parts to get it installed.

No unfortunately it does not, but being black (the car) , I just used some black vinyl wrap on the inside and outside to cover the holes. I'll eventually do the body work and paint but for now it's OK with me.
