FR-S front spring: 131#
Swift Spec R FR-S spring: 245#
RCE Yellow Spring: 250#
RCE Tarmac: 280#

strat61caster: all three of higher spring rates are also shorter then stock, probably to compensate shortened travel. That might be better then rolling on bumpstops imho.

There's a bunch of info in threads on here with good combos for springs/shocks. Most decent coilover manufacturers will tell you what range of spring rates an off the shelf coilover will work well with. If you're doubling the spring rate, it's no surprise that the valving is way off.

Do you have a part # for the Group N top hats? From searching it’s the same as the 02-07 wrx top hats, but searching that part number pulls up a different numb as the 02/07 show discontinued.

And I agree with camber plates not being for everyone. I had metal camber plates for 90k miles, and while they just started making noise, the amount of nvh they added on crap roads would for sure cause a loss in grip. Sometimes feeling the road too much isn’t the best thing lol.

I have RCE Tarmac on Bilstein B6

I wouldn't personally run the Tarmacs or Spec R's on stock shocks. I meant with coilovers though, not the stock shocks. Stock shocks are a bit over damped, worst on the earlier cars so it's a bit of a different situation than coilovers better matched to the springs.

Unfortunately I don't have the part number for the Group N's, I just called a local shop and asked for them. FT86SF has them listed though: http://www.ft86speedfactory.com/suba...2013-ft86.html

Unpopular opinion: the best springs for the stock shocks are the stock/TRD or sti springs.

Even the yellows are 100lbs more than stock. I wish RCE would make a version of the “old man springs” they made for the 08-14 STi. 210# F/R 15mm drop would be an amazing daily driver spring just saying .

I was really happy with the swift sports (frs rates) on my car (early 2013 car), upgraded to KW V3's because the shocks were toast and I like shiny things. IIRC they're like 170F/250R.

My stock shocks had ~155k kms on them, 100k of those with the swift springs, and tons of hard driving and crappy roads. They weren't leaking, but they were definitely tired.
