A modded mustang vs a stock twin? What about vs. a modded twin, mine for example (mods listed below). I'd be genuinely shocked if that were the case on a time attack course possibly with the exception of a professionally calibrated corner balanced Penske or JRZ setup for purely track.

Pretty sure the large majority of Mustang GT owners are more into drag racing than drifting

PS 300ish HP with wider rears and sticky tires ain't no slouch either at only 2750 lbs!

Everyone and their brother makes mustang parts. While a ton of them are into drag, plenty of people use them on the track as well. Plus they sell so many more mustangs than twins have ever sold.

Youtube leaves me with the impression they're more into crashing in front of crowds while trying to show off.

I loved the handling of the brz, but there were times where I wanted more power and a V8 soundtrack. The Subaru dealership offered me 30k for the 2018 brz performance pack. The ford dealership offered me 32k for a 2018 Mustang GT. I loved both cars, but at the end of the day I felt like I wanted to experience a new car. I decided to pull the trigger on the Mustang. I love the power of my new car. I do miss the handling of the brz. Sometimes I feel like I made the wrong decision. I go through my pictures of my brz everyday. I plan on upgrading the Mustang to make it handle better, but I know it will never be as good as the brz. I guess this post is just to tell all you brz owners to never let go of your brz. My brz was the only car, which made me get used to the handling very quickly. I eventually got tired of it. Now I miss it. Hopefully I will be able to trade in my Mustang for the next generation Brz.
Enjoy the GT. It's completely different from the BRZ, but they are really nice cars. If you have one of the models with all-season tires, swapping them for a summer performance tire might make a big difference?

(And don't be one of those GT owners at a cars and coffee event)

I plan on doing a few suspension mods when the car is paid off. Ford offers a suspension package that I am interested in. Heres the link if your interested.

Is your model one of the trims that come with the P-Zero Nero A/S rubber? If so, a buddy had them on an older version of a Mustang as the OEMs and felt it became practically a different car when moving to the PSS...

Yes, I currently have the stock wheels and tires. I plan on upgrading when I install the suspension.
