Is there any progress on the ghost cam? Is there a way for the people who want this to get it? @steve99 @aagun do you have any plans to make this patch available to buy or is it more complicated than a customized tune? Could this be done through OFT??
THANKS FOR CALLING ME AGAIN

i had a plan ><
but it is failed.

i spend long time after ghost cam patch , and finally made it , around 300+ hours
long time,,yes
what Disappointment me is there are no way to keep my patch safe from coping/stealing.

they are not support etuning

i start tune in local area ( Dubai,UAE) and near area
the only was is for far away customers is be sending ECU to me and

It isn't actually the big lobes of a big cam that creates the stumble, it's the shape of the lobes that causes valve overlap and it's the overlap that causes the stumble. So in some ways the ghost cam is NOT posing. Our cars can create just as much if not more overlap than old cars with static cams can. The advantage we have is we can dial out the overlap at idle so it idles smoothly. All a ghost cam would do is disable this advantage. I agree it's a pointless mod that would serve zero purpose other than sound cool.

My take is let people do whatever they want with their car. Who freaking cares. If they think it sounds cool then let them do it. I personally think a stumbling car sounds cool (even the Twin in that video). Would I do it on my car, probably not.

Clever, but no, still a poser cam tune. People don't install aggressive cams in their cars for a lopy idle. That's just a byproduct of the mechanical limitations of the cam. They install the aggressive cam for performance when throttled up.

When most of us hear an engine with a lopy idle, we'll conclude that the engine has been modified for performance. We associate the lope with higher torque and horsepower, just in its resting state. The sound of the idle creates an expectation for what it will do at full throttle. It sounds good because of the anticipation.

Flashing a poser cam tune is a lame attempt to take advantage of that association between lopy idle and performance. The underlying factor that makes it attractive isn't really there. It's pretending to be something it isn't.

Therefore, poser cam.

An aggressive cam in our car still wouldn't make a lopy sound because we have VVT which can dynamically tune out the overlap. It isn't extra lift that makes the lopy sound. My point was that our cars would already sound lopy at idle if it wasn't for us having VVT tunes out the overlap at idle. A ghost cam tune would simply disable this advantage we have.

Again, I am not saying it's cool or anything. I just think people make too big of a deal out of what others do with their cars. For example I can't understand the obsession these kids have with -20degs of camber. But I'm not ragging on people on forums over it. It's their cars, I could care less.

Anyways, I'm just repeating myself. You clearly don't agree that our cars already have the perf advantage of an old school big cam. So we may as well move on.

Yep everybody has the right to do whatever they want to their cars but everybody else has the right to say if they like it or not. I will never understand this whole if you don't like something just keep your mouth shut concept. I had never heard of this "tune" before here and think it is probably one of the stupidest things I have ever seen and will speak up and say so even if it bothers some poor snowflake.

But you're the one who's bothered and no one is saying to keep your mouth shut. The snowflake is you.

Ahhh but I am not bothered in any way. Your perceptions
are wrong Grasshopper.

The person I responded to said people made a big deal out of it. I am not sure that voicing an opposing point of view is making a big deal.

Dude this thread is 4 pages long already and 90% of it is people back patting each other about how stupid it is.

Supporting each other in agreement is not back patting.
