Is $4L a lot of Canadian metric monies? If that is 4 liters though in toonies, you should have taken it because those things are neat.

$4L I a sample of missing the right key and not proof reading before hitting send.

great! thanks for all the advice.

Does the wheel offset have to be between 35 -45 for 86/frs/brz? or is there a set offset?

Width, offset, camber, ride height, and usage will determine what offset you can use

It matters more the lower you are, the more aggressive size you run, and the more aggressive you use your car (track/drift/street "race")

Even with the same specs, someone cruising to cars and coffee and going to the KFC drive through will be fine where as the guy auto crossing every weekend will be in a world of hurt.

the reason i asked is cuz im getting the wheels (18 9.5 5x100) custom ordered. they want to know what offset i want. I was advised to have it between 35 - 45 for my car. Im just confused as to the specific offset number i need to give to get the order. at the moment im thinking 38 but any direction with this would help.

You will have to decide what looks good to you. +38 is a good offset for that size though...

thanks for the links! great info. when i checked the rotas on the link, it says 9.5 in the front will fit once dropped and cambered. It'll be flush and not functional though. just wondering about the functionality and can i do something to fix this?

at the moment im going for 18" 9.5 +38 on all four.

to be honest, looks is something im going for considering there is not too much of a performance dip. So, 18" 9.5 is on my mind and since staggered is not a recommendation, it will be 9.5 on all.

as far as having 9.5 in the front...ive heard there might be some milling needed for clearance. dont know how true that is? also what is the consensus on having 245 front and 255 rear as far as tire? asking if it might help facilitate clearance issues, if any.
I run 255/35 square on 18x9.5 +38 57cr's no rubbing issues anywhere and still have some room to go lower. I am on coilovers, if you want to see pictures just check out my build thread

Depends on what size tire you get bc i know people who track a 265/35 tire

So, if you are going to spend the $5,000 for turbo, then staggered does make sense. That said, 225's on 8" rims on the front should be more than sufficient. Good 245's on the back would also be sufficient. That said, since you are not racing and care more about looks than performance, just be sure to ask about fitment and offset. Ask others here who have that experience. BTW, you shouldn't put 225's on 9.5" rims.

hey with the wide body kit for the BRZ, can u do without spacers or is a must? can you buy wheels with an offset that can do with spacers? Im under the impression spacers can actually hurt cuz your forcing the pivot to do something that not particularly natural?
