Can you actually close the trunk using just that handle, without touching the trunk lid or wing? Seems like you'd have to throw the trunk down pretty hard to accomplish that.

I always just close the truck with my hand on the license plate, never touch paint.

You have to swing it with a little force, but not as hard as you'd think.

just curious if anybody has fit a larger battery in their car, I dont just mean like with more CCA but a battery with more amp hours, i think the stock battery is something like 40. I tried looking but most guys here get smaller batteries lol

I thought you drove it every day so it wasn't gonna be an issue lol. So long as it has the same dimensionss it'll work. Or use 2. Or use a charger

Maybe it's like closing the bolt on an M1 rifle, without a round being loaded.

You may have put me onto something that has bothered since new. I have noticed what I thought was due to the tailshaft flexing winding up and unwinding.... a sort of errr errr errr in second gear on small acceleration around a sweeping corner. Maybe it is soft diff mountings. I'd appreciate thoughts people.

I am not into racing and would only tolerate a slight increase of harshness if that is inevitable.

Note that our car is auto with torsen diff.

I am now self employed so I dont have to drive as much lol, plus in the winter the car battery was already weakish in the cold, might just have to find excuses to drive more lol

Good for you man. But really I don't see why you can't put in a "bigger" battery. Hell, Braille or whoever night have a lighter battery with more hours on it. But it'll cost a couple hundred bucks. The cheapest option is probably to chain in a lan and garden battery but the "best" one imo is to just get a whole new one with more hours

"We have a 2013 Toyota GTS86 auto with torsen diff. I experience driveline lash sometimes and would like to reduce it without introducing harshness or increasing noise (or at least only slightly.) I do not compete. I am thinking of replacing just one pair of diff bushes rather than all four which seems simple but would like your advice.

"If you are looking for a compromise between reduced driveline lash without too much added stiffness, our differential bushing inserts are a good choice. Part number KDT925 includes polyurethane inserts that fill the voiding of the factory rubber. The kit contains inserts to stiffen the outrigger bushings and the cradle mounted differential bushings. An added benefit to this kit is that it is a somewhat easier install and is a more affordable alternative to complete polyurethane replacements. If you would rather use full polyurethane replacement bushings, the outrigger bushings (KDT923) would most likely be the first to deteriorate and would therefore be the best to immediately replace. They are also the easier to install of the two bushings. If you are looking to do any work on the car’s differential bushings, we recommend replacing the cradle bushings (KDT924) as well if the car is already going to be taken apart and worked on. Feel free to share this information and please reach out if you have any other questions!"
