I think the trick to that is wrecking a couple cars.

I strongly recommend fucking around off road as much as possible.

You got lucky crossing the track out of control the second time. Take some time to consider if anything could have been done to prevent that. There are techniques to help thread the needle even after shit goes south but it takes being comfortable there.

Sometimes it's just a yard sale and there's nothing you can do about it.

Honestly I thought crossing the track was pretty unlucky and dangerous. Obviously the guys in that turns tower waved a yellow caution flag when I landed where I was but if someone had been right behind me on the blind turn they would’ve possibly hit me. That part kinda freaked me out. Need to make sure next time, if there is a next time, that I need to try staying on one side of the track.

It wasn't your turn this time and it was a great experience. Get back out there soon and build on it.

A lot of people go off track on their first trackday. I would've been more surprised to hear that you hadn't gone off!

Glad it was nothing serious and that both car and occupants are no worse for wear. Now you can look back on it as a learning opportunity.

Yeah, but I think I was the only one who went completely off. I even had guys coming up to me as I packed up my stuff to ask if myself and the car were ok. And then later in town I was at Starbucks and an older guy who was driving a Porsche in my group came over and asked how things were because he was two cars behind me when it happened, lol.

Anyway, I still had a fantastic time, and I'm already looking at dates to see about scheduling my next one. I want to go back and make some progress on improvements and stuff.

But I digress, still planning to write a long review/post thing for my journal and I have a couple more videos
