No way this is more than the SRT system...SRT system has much better build quality (welds and materials). This Borla system doesn't sound bad, but just not what I'm looking for. The audio quality could have been better in this video too, sound was distorted and not clean at all. Much prefer the SRT smoother and cleaner sound, and its better appearance.

That being said, the SRT system does sound and look really good, but I love my Borla system. :happy0180: |

JohnnyP, I do think that the Borla system you have is nicely done and of a good build quality. It's just not a Burn's Stainless level of quality which is more of what I'm looking for. What would the price be for the Borla system?

That is an excellent question. As far as I know, they still haven't decided on pricing. They did ask my opinion about it, but are likely reading some of these comments too so if any forum members have a (realistic) suggestion, then post it up and if I hear anything I will let you all know.

Well materials wise lets just go with the following as an example (retail prices):
#20156 Exhaust Tips ($78) x2 = $156 #40942 XR-1® Sportsman Racing Muffler ($172) 8' of 2.5" 304 stainless tubing, 16 gauge (~$21 foot) ~8 feet = $168 Miscellanous brackets, etc = $75 = $571 (retail prices) ... I'd say ~$650 to $700 would be a very fair selling price for that setup. |

^I'd say $900
You aren't factoring R&D cost in at all |

I will buy it for ~650. I loved Borla on our STi but I'm not paying 900 again.

I e-mailed Borla yesterday inquiring about their system and here is their response:
Thanks for your interest in Borla. This information should be available on our website in 4-6 weeks. The part number will be 140496. Please check our website at this time. Thanks. No cost was mentioned. |
