So dealers find out pricing and specs when the car arrives?

I smell a rat. The only reason why they would be so secretive is because they don't have a good news story for those who have been hanging out for the BRZ.

Yeah, but I do see his point of view. BRZ and WRX same category, and does seem strange to turn away a new cult car at face value. But if you think about it, knowing that Subaru Aust can't match Toyota Aust sales volume and lower prices for the same car, it seems like an obvious lost cause for them to sell BRZ here.

But I guess WRX sales should increase now though, a ton of guys I know test drove 86 and found it slow as a wet week, way underpowered, and just seemed lacking. WRX next obvious choice. How many here test drove before ordering? How many here would have ordered 86 if they test drove first?

I know I just can't bring myself to order an 86 after test drive.... I'll just wait and see what happens.

Coming from a Honda Type R, I have no problem with the 86's speed. And the test drive confirmed this.

also waiting on my phone call from the Toyota dealer near my house where i first enquired about the 86..

If Subi call me and say i can get a car in less than 6 months.. i may go see them.

I'm with you Nardi. I'm coming from a '05 Magna. Slightly less power (obviously less TQ) and the 86 still feels quicker. I don't see how people think they need anymore power for the street, track fair enough.

Are you for real? The Toyota has been around for a month and the dealer hasn't called you and you sit there waiting? You expect a Subaru dealer to call you yet we know they are in short supply. If you want to buy a car call the dealers. I suspect they dont need to chase business if you haven't made recent and enthusiastic contact with them as it is a sellers market, not a buyers market

I'd rather a lack of power over chassis rigidity and balance. Power is the easiest thing to fix in a car.

it's not about power its all about power to weight. You can't compare a FWD family car to this.

I didnt worry about it cause i went to another dealer, but it seems that my phone is being a prick at the moment, just found 9 voice mail messages that i didnt know about, 2 were from the toyota dealer haha.

None from Subi
