If a city trip sounds right, there are a lot of museums in Chicago that tick many of those boxes, and not far from not un-city adventures. Decent coasters in the suburbs. And the food/drink scene here is amazing.

Food is what I remember most... And we've done a staycation the last 3 years (also traveled some) so I've done sooner of the tourist thing here.

There are so very many options that without a budget or more specifics it's hard.
