Just flashed the V4. Got weird bucking problem at low engine load just after startup. I did'nt reflash the previous V2 rom yet but if anyone can take a look at my log. Here's my analysis so far

- It shows -29 STFT but as soon as I touch the throttle pedal (2%), STFT jumps straight to 0 and AFR drops to 11.25.

- It changes from Fuel System Status 2 to 4 as soon as I give any throttle. 2% throttle normally won't change to Closed loop

- The problem will resolve itself when the car heats up a little bit but I can't get any power from the engine while it's doing that.

- The problem is reproducible. It did not do it on 1st start after flash but after 3-4 runs. Now it does it pretty much every time the engine is cooled down.

- AFR tend to stay at 11.25 for much too long. When bucking lessens, the AFR stays near for a couple minutes. It looks like it comes back to regular values as coolant heats up.

- When coolant is up to 160°F, all seems pretty normal

Can it be the upstream O2 sensor that's going bad?

Thanks!

Noobie question, once the tablet is married to your car, you do not need to perform the READ process again right? if i need to update the stage1 flash to a stage2 all i have to do is connect the tablet and do the WRITE operation of the appropriate tune file, correct?

correct, once it read the stock that info stays on device. when time comes you can go straight from stg 1 > stg 2 / 2+ / e85 depending on hardware & fueling.

Got a 17 brz with mxp sp exhaust and jdl front/mid pipe and have the v4 installed. Felt good at first but seems like my car is feeling sluggish now. Even just put in e85 for the first time and car doesn’t feel much faster. Any ideas why?

Yeah RomRaider can be a pain to install sometimes. Try downloading the Zip version without the installer from here:
http://assembla.com/spaces/romraider...C3-windows.zip

Then just extract it where ever you want and then double click on RomRaider.jar. This assumes you have JRE installed already.

What tune did you have on before? What mods do you have installed? Is this a new problem or did you have it before flashing to the v4 tune? Exactly which tune did you flash on?
