VE will of course vary a bit car to car (especially with different mods), but we have a slew of custom maps that help to mitigate those differences. Anything that remains is fine tuned out during the logging process, and rarely if ever presents any real issue. For things like built motors that employ head jobs and aggressive cams, that is when we would need to dive a little deeper. Of the 1,200+ FR-S/BRZ we've tuned so far, I'd say less than 5 have had aftermarket cams and less than 10 have had significant headwork done. Either way, this is something that can usually be addressed on a remote basis as well.

There is always the occasional "freak" that has to really be done in person, but from what I've seen they are few and far between. Most of those scenarios end up being mechanical issues that we find and address once we can actually lay hands and eyes on the car.

Question about the throttle body line delete of the Harrop kit. How this would an issue in cold climates? Any problems? I guess there is a reason why the TB is warmed. I guess not a problem in Australia tho

I don't think there are any issues. The cosworth supercharger deletes the throttle body coolant lines. But they never seemed to have any issues in England.

I *think* the heated throttlebody is to prevent icing of the throttle in humid, freezing weather.

15K on my Harrop, in SoCal.....not a problem yet. Now, maybe in Wisconsin or Minisnowta?

I'm on Edelbrock, I've deleted the coolant lines and polished the inside of the throttle body, no issues to report. Very humid area with a few days below freezing per year.

one of the main reasons for heating the throttle on the stock manifold is that its plastic
so the metal throttle can suffer from icing in cold climates as its well insulated from engine heat

as all the positive displacement blowers are metal manifolds and metal that gets quite hot there's generally no longer a need to heat the throttle

No. I believe both are using a six rib Gator brand style belt.
