OFT V1 vs OFT V2
Hello, so a few days ago the open flash tablet v2 was released. I ordered the v1 literally a week ago and theres a cancellation fee for the order so im not really trying to do that. Question is, is there any difference between the two in terms of end result? I know the v2 is faster, bigger screen, bigger storage, but that doesn't really matter to me, all i care about are the tunes and the things it can do. Would the v2 be "optimized" for the post facelift models?

The V1 should suit you fine if you're just looking to flash tunes. I bought a V1 for my '17 the moment the beta tunes were released and aside from a few quirks it's been a great experience overall. I don't think they'd alienate all their V1 customers by releasing new tunes that only the V2 tablet can flash.

V2 probably would be a little more faster for reading/writing tunes

Would it really? I figure it'd limited by the odb2 interface. The wider screen seems a bit pointless too. Should have been taller rather than wider.

There is no limitation over odb2. Ecutek writes much much faster than oft v1
