I fear McLaren will not be that good. Better than the last few years, but still below the top three.

I think if they finish 4th it will be a successful season.

Considering they finished 10th last year, yes 4th would make it a successful season! That would mean they finished above at least one other Renault powered team. It looks like, from this weekend, Haas might be a serious wrench in the spokes of more than a couple of teams. After over-performing last year, I predict Force India is going to have trouble keeping up unless their recent upgrades really make a difference.

It would be great if Alfa helped Sauber move up into the mid-field, but with their drivers and budget, that might be a stretch.

After this weekend, with two basically rookie drivers, an as-yet unproven Honda PU, and not much of a developmental budget, I fear Toro Rosso is bound to be a repeat of the last three years of McLaren, only quite possibly worse.

Personally, I think that as McLaren continues to fine-tune the Renault PU (assuming better reliability than last season), it wouldn't really surprise me to see Alonso challenging the Red Bull boys on a continuous basis.

Just my 2-cents worth...

How about that Haas though? Looks to be a good fight for being the third fastest team with McLaren in the hunt as well, might be a good season after all. And Kimi pushing hard at the open, old man has still got it. A little disappointed Valtteri couldn't do more...

Fuckin pit lane yellow flag strategy winning the race, one of the good decisions F1 made over the years is reducing that, hope it's not a common occurrence.

I guess people are knocking Haas for basically buying a competitive car from Ferrari, but I don't care, the more competitive cars the better.

The main problem with it is that ESPN thinks it's appropriate to insert commercials on top of it. The lack of coordination is quite jarring, and there's no replay of any important audio that you missed. Very annoying.

Also, driver of the day is definitely the left side of the Haas cars. Made all the difference.

It did turn out pretty good. Just started you bad when they had technical problems with the pre race show. Yes commercials are always bad, always run just when there's something going on-on track it seams.

Haven't heard anything about the race but it was evident in quali

Just watched highlights, helluva day for Toro Rosso and Merc and Bottas and Vettel season looks pretty good if RB can get their shit together it'll be brilliant.

The lap before Bottas had his little peek on Vettel, he missed out on DRS by 0.01 seconds... can't help but think that extra push would have allowed him to make a proper go of it

So if Honda not sucking isn't a total fluke, does McLaren have the option to get them back, or do they totally belong to Red Bull now??
