Emission Inspection OBD2 Lambda

Hey Guys,

I'm not sure who else has to do this because i think in most countries there are no regulations, but:
Here we have to do a Inspection once a year for emission values.
And im kinda nervous for sure as im fully catless right now, so i have some questions and i hope some here already got some experience.

If they only connect via OBD2 to read the values will it pass?
or if not is there a way to manipulate lambdas offset to let it look correctly?
Im running Stage2 tune flashed with tactrix.

If they put in a probe (not sure if its called this way) in the exhaust tips?
will it pass?
Is there something i can do? it would be cool to have a filter or something wich i can put inside the exhaust system only for the tests.

Or is the only option to buy a used frontpipe and switch it out? but lambda is between the header cats? so the frontpipe wouldn't help for OBD2 testing to.
I got stock header and frontpipe, both decated.

What should i do? Thanks for your opinions.

What tests are where you live/drive you should better find out locally in your country from friends/relatives/local forums/gov-t sites, especially if so-non-specific Europe is set as your location, which has different member countries with different regulations so others cannot advise you anything specific even if they live in same (unknown) country where you do :P.
Here in Latvia (also EU state) we have - for new cars first inspection is in two years, then - each year. Emissions are checked both at exhaust & for made after 2012.01 vehicles also via OBD2. You won't fool actual emissions check with fully catless without at least one cat (if stock and with warm engine, most often is sufficient, but with if single cat left is highflow one, passing rate varies), and depending on inspectors competency, they may see switched off cat readiness checks in tune via OBD check.
O2 lambda sensors are prior and post primary cat in headers. Spacer for 2nd sensor may increase chance for fooling ecu tune with cat readiness checks still enabled but is not sure way to do that, just reducing chances for CEL to appear. And of course spacers won't do a thing for actual emissions test at tip of exhaust. It's possible also that visual check might be performed aswell. Your best bet to pass for sure is to bolt back for inspection stock header with stock cat & flash back stock tune.

Thanks for your thoughts
I bought a used stock cat yesterday, the one in the front pipe.
So i will switch it out bevore the test, but what about the header one?

Here in Austria they can do OBD2 only for i think 2004+ cars? but they can also still put a probe inside the exhaust. Friends told me that putting in the probe shoulnd't be a problem with frontpipe cat only cause it only reads turbidity value, but if they can read lambda values?

What will they see in OBD2 when i still have an decated header with stg2? I don't think they'll see that theres a different tune on it. It's a small open Workshop for all brands.

Here, where i live, noone got clue about this car. Most people don't even know it.
Even toyota and subaru Workshops got no clue about it , thats why i do most things by my own

stg2 tune, catless header .. probably will see if they look, that cat efficiency check for DTC code P0420 is disabled. If that will allow to pass or will fail checks in Austria, i don't know. With those checks enabled in eg. stock tune, most probably CEL will soon be thrown. It shouldn't affect driving much (disables cruise control), but probably will make one fail inspection.
BTW, if you'll pass with catless header, imho you can leave stock catted frontpipe installed. Gains from secondary cat delete are minimal compared to decatted header. Will save you from extra work switching forth and back frontpipes pre/post inspection. If you won't pass, put stock header with cat back and flash back stock tune for inspection.
One may complain about government limiting performance mods .. but as for example taxes (or in some cases even subsidies) in many countries are dependent also on how efficient car is emissions-wise, i understand their wish to not legalize such mods for car used on public road, only because it was certified more eco-friendly if unmodded. There is reason, why many manufacturers of such aftermarket parts state their products as not road-legal / for race use.

Austrian friend passed emissions with a catless header and stock front pipe, they only measured with probe. Odb2 check will fail. So you really need that one cat.

Thanks alot for your guys opinion!
vin's reply calms me down a little
would only use it for the test as i don't want to damage another cat. And the reason why the both stock cats broke is cause of the exhaust pop mod, i still want to run this one....

wondering if an obd2 check would be positiv too when i put a lambda spacer in between?

Spacer puts secondary O2 sensor out of direct exhaust gas steam and limits to what it is exposed to, to supposedly fool ecu as if exhaust checked with this sensor is cleaned up with cat. But as noone among generic owners knows exact algorithms how ecu checks cat efficiency, eg. on what temps, what temp deltas, what O2 content, what vs readings of first sensor, at which engine running stage .. then spacer just reduces chance of CEL to appear, not eliminates it for sure. So if you have aftermarket ecu tune with cat checks disabled, why would you need that spacer (except adding visual cue that catalisators been messed with)? And if that tune won't let pass, spacer has no use with stock catted header bolted back aswell.

Belgium owner, they only use a probe here and I passed it with only the OEM frontpipe.
