Clutch slave cylinder is leaking.

And the oring/seal on the Mocal thermostatic plate of my Perrin oil cooler kit has failed and is leaking oil at a generous rate. Into that little cup where the spacer sits, off the side of it down onto the solenoids/sensors there, and a little pool on top of the skid plate as well.

Sorry to hear that bro. Just frustrating that it came in pair. Hope you get it fixed soon!

I read recently that on early production runs, the threaded adapter tube was either a little too long or the inside threads were cut a little too shallow. Either way, it's the limiting factor in how much the adapter can be tightened.

I have the same issue with mine but so far, it tightens just enough.

I've had it installed since November of 2016.

Things still feel snugged up. You can rotate the sandwhich plate ever so slightly slightly on top of the spacer if you push/pull on the lines. But it's always been this way. I didn't change anything, all I did today to it between it being fine and it leaking everywhere is an oil change. Which obviously includes changing the filter, which I removed the old one by hand and installed the new one hand tight until it was snug. Shrug.

I noticed a residue on top of the spacer earlier today after the oil change before the test drive. Then I checked it later after a quick drive and I noticed the oil everywhere. Seems like the seal/oring might have been degrading slowly for a while but now finally gave out today.

Here's a photo from earlier before the test drive and major leak. You can see some very slight residue and oil spots.

Turns out that it wasn't a bad oring or gasket, but rather that the center bolt that holds the whole assembly together had become loose over time. To the point that there was a few mm of play between the top of the bolt and the mating surface. Not good!

I took everything apart and reassembled it, making sure to snug down that center bolt. Took it for a test drive and don't see any further leaking.

So a prudent tip for people running oil coolers might be to check that center bolt when you're doing your oil change and you have the filter off. I guess vibration can loosen it up over time - in my case just under 1.5years of being installed.
