Went on a drive with a few of the guys from hwy 9 to skyline to alices, then 84 to pescadero creek rd.

Was a great day for it, and nice and dry.

Unfortunately we did pass an accident on pescadero creek rd., where it looked like a Porsche had gone over the edge right after the sharp U-shaped corner that begins the downhill stretch. I'd say that corner and then the fast double corner a bit further on (not sure what kind of turn that's called) are the trickiest, and probably more so for people without traction control on. Seemed like the guys involved weren't injured though, so that's good.

TFTI... Lol, but seriously, glad they were ok. Takes balls to drive at the limit, but it takes more or that plus control, focus and maturity to drive within your limits.

I'm actually doing a vendor audit at Fremont tmrw morning, so I'm debating sneaking in a drive mid-day, but would mean sitting in rush hour traffic on the way home... Decisions decisions...

Technically supposed to open at the end of the month.

I'd be down to drive all the way over there from Sac for a drive to celebrate the reopening haha

You and all the Prius drivers and cyclists will also be out "celebrating" it.

OMG Redwood road is open !!!
Many cyclists and saw one Popo.
It didn't look like they sweep the road yet. Many tar gravels everywhere. Have fun and be safe.

I drove Mines Rd this morning and there are closures through the end of April. Was not able to complete the loop on 130 to Mt Hamilton. Had to turn around. Looked like it might be Mon-Sat. Really green and pretty. Not too much water or gravel. Lots of cyclists and motorcycles though. Next time I’ll check road conditions and wake up earlier.

I was planning a Mines run next weekend, but seems like it’s down. Any other suggestions for a long, hard (lol) drive?

So it's open up to the Junction basically?

Redwood is open again. Or could always take Del Puerto out to Patterson if you can make it to The Junction at least

Way past The Junction. Closure was past a bunch of the cattle guards on the way up to Hamilton. May be open on Sundays once major repairs are done. Timeline unclear: https://www.sccgov.org/sites/rda/RT/...io-Valley.aspx

Redwood Road Report
1 deer, 1 turkey, 1 cop, 1 other 86, 1 911, 100 slow Prius drivers, 100000 cyclists.

Really fun to get a complete run in early this morning. Road conditions were mostly fine - less dirt and gravel than expected after the rain last week.
