I do like them more than the US ones. They're the real JDM and I ordered them from FT86SpeedFactory. Took a little more time to install than I thought, because I had to mess with the top clips a little so that they would click back in.

I got the same, they definitely look better than stock (got the amber bulbs with them to keep them the right color). Another one of those little things that should have just been that way from the factory.

I got the Piston 86 Fender emblems from a friend's FR-S

update: Also got new 4.5" extended exhaust tips on my 2017. The OEM bolt on tips were too boring and tucked in for my taste.

They look great! Do you have a shot showing more of the car from the side?

Today I worked a little on the alignment. It's too cold for any more at 26°F. And I'll have to revisit it later, since something is funky in the front. Got the front to -3.4°/-3.5° camber and 0.01° toe in... have yet to look at the back beyond noting it needs work. Not surprising since I did coilovers, lca's, and toe arms... Front is bugging me with the camber plates in very different spots (nearly maxed out on the -3.4° side, maxed would probably sneak to -3.5°... yet the other side has almost 2° more range, give or take. This will be good enough for a bit of driving around, and I'll put the car up and go over everything again after the exhaust is all in - I'll need to re-balance it anyway.

whee? no. not even close. Why did I decide I wanted to do my own alignments?

If one is maxed out and the other is not even close, I would start by checking the alignment at the bottom of the struts. Get that set equally first, otherwise the car will behave slightly differently when cornering. As for toe... Give it a skosch of toe out instead of keeping it in up front. You'll thank me at your next autocross the first time you turn in for a corner.

That's the plan on toe for the second round after I get all the parts on the car, and let the suspension settle, if its going to do that. This was close enough, I'm too cold to fiddle any more. I do need to recheck the knuckle, make sure it didn't slip.

I think I may need to see about zeroing the steering angle too, or something. Small tweaks of the wheel can still feel centered to me but push toe angles to one side or the other... And there's a discussion in the SSC thread that got me thinking about this.

So much left to do and the season starts in a month!

Went ahead and double checked the one corner... not surprisingly, it was messed up at the knuckle. Nice and even both sides now at the camber plates. That was all the energy I had this evening, even though it's MUCH warmer outside. I'll go ahead and string it again and tweak the front toe a touch, then get the back aligned - hope to get the car out for a drive this weekend - need to wrap up the tank of gas I got from the dealer so I know what's in it when we tune it.

Header, tune, exhaust is next up.

Why does this stuff always take ten times as long as you want it to?
