Anyways, back to this kit... What is the timeline after they go to the Sema lab? Submit the results then wait a year for a response? |

I'm actually trying to find the diameter of the rubber hoses to step down the diameter of the silicone ones so I will never need to replace them again. Silicone vac hoses don't usually need clamps or anything for vacuum lines. I'll ask Harrop. If I find out diameters and lengths, then they will be posted in the thread. |

Is this only Cali that runs these sorts of shenanigans or what? I've moved from a no-emissions or sound level state to one that requires at least an OBDII port test (not cali) and you've got me kinda worried. |

Many other states have similar laws, but they may or may not be aggressively enforced. You'll want to consult with a local attorney if you want straight up answers.

In florida, the only vehicles louder than all the stangs and challengers driving around are the motor cops harleys. Did see and hear a real loud Porsche driving through trumpville the other day though.

Ive had to go the the ref before. Back in the day you would just convert to stock before going to the ref. Some would just pay the ticket like $375. Who knows what it costs now. Running catless can be a big fine like over a grand maybe. I play by the rules these days: catbacks, non-vented oil catch cans, FMIC upgrades, CARB EO intakes n FI kits, stuff like that.

Thank you all! Considering that I live at 5k ft vs formerly living in e85 and 50ft elevation land, how much power am I losing?
I loved beating the piss out of turbo and muscle cars back in the old stomping grounds. I'm considering putting back on the stock header (with retune) to cut down on the ungodly noise screaming into the workplace... that or selling the kit to buy a turbo kit like one of the mods to make up the difference of the partial atmospheric pressures. |

For those of you purchased the Harrop SC, any reason why you got the Harrop ($6,044 with ECUTek) over the Cosworth SC ($6750 with ECUtek)?
1) Any other pros on the Harrop beside $710 cheaper in price? 2) If you had a chance again, would you purchase the Harrop again? 3) Any issue with your kit so far? Thanks! Price Ref: http://www.moto-east.com/store/harro...6-brz-frs.html https://www.cosworthperformance.com/ |

For me, I had the kit installed by Neal @The Racers Line at 25000 miles and I’m at 38000 now. I daily my car and go full retard daily on freeway onramps. No problems AT ALL. No issues with performance. It generates more heat but duh... still never had a problem with over heating in the summer etc. Harrop has an oil cooler too if you track your car. I chose this kit based on design and aesthetics. Same design essentially as the Edelbrock but an improvement on the Cosworth. Simple install and fix. Very elegant solution. Couple that with price and it was a no brainer. I’d totally buy and recommend this kit again. Nothing but good things to say. Talk to Neal too. He can answer technical questions more fully. Is it because of the front intake pipe and the TVS1320 vs TVS900? Thanks again! |

Yeah, I liked the idea of the TVS1320 over the TVS900 even tho at my power levels and with my goals having either wouldn't make a difference either way. If I'm not mistaken (but I totally could be) the 1320 has potential for greater power, but to get to that level as a differentiator you're already fully built with supporting mods etc. That's where I looked at the intake and the aesthetics and it just made more sense. Again, intake design is negligible at my power levels but it could certainly make a difference later down the road. In short, both kits will get you where you wanna go if you're not looking at MAX, MAX power etc, but I think in the long-run the Harrop is the better solution. I felt like I could live with that and have no regrets whereas the Cosworth had some niggles for me.
