What? They use unmarked mustangs to pull people over for aggressive driving in Arizona all the time. I just saw a bright yellow one with flashing lights in the rear window and stuff.

I know you were joking but the police around here use all sorts of weird and wonderful vehicles ever since the Crown Vic died. They even used seized "proceeds of crime" vehicles so there are Mustangs, Camaros, Challengers, Escalades, and just about any other higher end car or truck you can imagine. They even have a couple of 10 year old Dodge Caravans in stealth markings that can sneak up on you.

I HAVE SEEN THIS! An ancient Maroon Caravan with red and blue lights in the back window. I was like wtf, is this for real? On 404, of all places

Yep. I think each OPP detachment has at least one. I have seen them in Brantford, London, Windsor and Sarnia. They are frequently used as a spotter vehicle sitting on the shoulder or overpass on the 401 (or appropriate highway number) just waiting for that unsuspecting speeder to just flash by and then they just radio the marked cars up ahead to do the pull over.

Huh, that's pretty interesting. I guess it's 'efficient' but seems shady for traffic enforcement...

Considering 99% of traffic enforcement is simply revenue generation, the shadiness isn't surprising at all.

Illegal here. They would make you take it out of the car on the side of the road and fine you on top of that.

Can't speak for the local departments but the Provincial Police (Highway Patrol) here are more focused on the problem drivers and not just out to make cash. You have to screw up pretty bad before they nail you.

In the 80's when the 5.0 mustangs first came out, the CHP here bought a bunch. They had posi. First rain they lost a bunch of them. True story.

With the massive 175HP those 5.0s had they should have been more careful!

Yeah I keep a V1 in every car I have, and I use Waze on top of that, even if I know where I'm going. Still have to keep your eyes out for those rollers though!

I just saw a Pontiac G6 with red and blue lights flashing driving down the breakdown lane at like 70mph... kind of a sneaky uncover. Yet still an American ¿sports? car with tinted windows and no hub caps.

Ever since I got my tS, it's like every car with a V8 wants to challenge me on the freeway.
It's getting really annoying, especially when their car keeps going for it and dropping back to drive alongside me, then gets upset when I don't take the bait.
I almost wish my rear wing was removable for daily driving duties.
