Lol.I would love to but it is a bit of a of a drive for me to get there. I have driven to Toledo a few times in the past. The quickest I was able to get there was about 22 hours.

Yeah I'm curious as to why people would think the auto can't pick up torque gains. That makes no sense. I could maybe see no gains before tuning but after I can't fathom a reason as to why an automatic transmission would prevent an engine from gaining power output.

Its almost always like that at first on forums. There is just no way an auto can handle teh powa of teh almitey turbo.

Im sure it will be fine.

I was not saying it can not make more tq, saying it won't HOLD it as far as strength

That swap's a headache and ruins your resale value. The Subaru 4EAT held more torque than the 5MT ("glass" transmission); not sure if the 5EAT was able to hold that much, though I'm sure some Legacy GT guys know.

I can attest to the 5MT being a 'glass transmission.' I just swapped mine on my '02 WRX because the output shaft shattered. Of course, when that goes, it all goes. Ugh, I can still remember the sound. Sounded like a million marbles getting chewed-up.

I will say that the 6MT in the BRZ is magical. So notchy and I've not missed a shift yet. Definitely can't say the same for the WRX.
